Clarence R. “Babe” Lee, 74, of Sandoval, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Saint Louis University Hospital. He was born October 4, 1944 in Sandoval, son of William Lee and Leona (Campbell) Lee.
He married Patricia L. Branson on December 5, 1964 and she survives in Sandoval. In addition to his wife of 54 years, Patricia L. Lee of Sandoval, he is also survived by five children: Richard Lee of Sandoval, Diana Kleiboeker and husband Scott of Centralia, William “Bill” Lee of Salem, Shirley Hernandez of Centralia, and Sharon Lee of Sandoval; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and two on the way; three brothers and two sisters: Vernon Lee and wife Patsy of Vernon, Lawrence Lee of Junction City, Norman Lee of Sandoval, Hazel Bryant and husband Sam of Junction City, and Barb Cooper and husband Carson of Irvington; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Allen Lee, a daughter-in-law: Sharon Lee, a son-in-law: Joseph Hernandez, and a sister: Emma Myers. “Babe” worked as a welder for 35 plus years. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed racing stock cars, watching NASCAR and baseball games on the TV. He was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.
