Clarence “June” Adams Jr, 87 of Five Fork Hill Rd, Newburg, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at home with family by his side. June was born July 12, 1928, son of the late Clarence Edward Adams Sr. and Anna Bell Akers Adams. June owned and operator his own coal mines in Newburg and Birdscreek and did some strip mining over the years. He also owned a saw mill and enjoyed farming. He loved squirrel hunting, gardening and his bluegrass music. Surviving are his five children, Cheryl A Adams, Independence, Joyce M Adams, Newburg, David J Adams and wife Beverly, Newburg, Rita S Myers, Fellowsville, Loretta L Adams and companion Charlie Maxwell, Newburg; seven grandchildren, Lucreatia N Adams, Britny N Feathers and husband, Bryan, Matthew S Myers and wife, Kimberly, Bethany A Adams, Felicia M Myers, Nicolette M Adams-Maxwell and Dusty N Adams-Maxwell; one great-grandson, Gage Feathers, two brother, William Everett Adams, Newburg, Fred Wayne Adams and wife Darlene of Scotch Hill; one sisters, and Ada Opal Parker Hutton of Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie Adams, one son in infancy, Richard Allen Adams; three brothers, Harry Glenn Adams, Charles Henry Adams and Edwin Franklin Adams; five sisters, Mary Ellen Adams, Evelyn Louise Adams, twins, Corrie and Nora Adams and Virginia May Larew; one son-in-law, Scott Myers, four sister-in-law, Shirley Adams, Coleen Adams, Delores Adams and Marylee Adams; one brother-in-law, Ronald Pete Larew.
