Clarence was the youngest son born of the union of Mary Elizabeth and Paris Green in Fayette, Mississippi on December 20, 1924.  Clarence accepted Christ at an early age. Then he joined Mt.

Their union created a beautiful daughter, Bettie Lee, whose life was shortened due to Polio in 1951. Clarence and Rose loved children; many nieces and nephews lived with them from time to time.  However, nephew Willie James held a special place in their hearts and they raised him as their “son”.

Clarence was a kind and loving man who would help you if he could. He loved to play cards with Rose and friends, go fishing and take road trips with Rose to various cities throughout the U.S.  Clarence worked as a plumber and met and maintained many friendships during the forty years he worked in the trade. After retirement Clarence agreed with Rose to keep another baby, Taeler, who was often referred to as their “baby” and helped raise her from 3 months of age.

Clarence is proceeded in death by his parents, Mary Elizabeth and Paris Green; his siblings, Dan Green, Earl Green, Marshall Green,, Mack Green, Emiline Williams, Kizzie Curts, and “son” Willie James (Yong Al). Clarence leaves behind his loving wife, Rose, his sister, Senetta Green,  “baby” Taeler Hammond (Joseph), Michael James (Aaron  and Shai James), William James (Faith, William II, and Isaac James) ; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
