“Let not your hearts be trouble. Ye believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.”
On August 8, 1929 Clarence “Jip” Davis began his life’s journey in Arkadelphia Arkansas. He is one of eleven children of John Wesley and Willie Mae Anthony Davis.
Clarence had a strong bond with his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews. The teaching of family value was very prominent in the lives of John Wesley and Willie Mae Anthony Davis. He would often say, “Momma and Daddy said to love one another and stick together as a family”. In a former marriage to Hattie Jean Nelson Daniels were two children, Superintendent Robert L. Davis and Bobbie Jean Davis.
Clarence retired as a butcher and a truck driver for over 40 years.
He lived his life to the fullest and there was certainly not a dull moment when he was around.
