Clarence Cunningham, 86, of Virginia, IL died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at his residence.
He was born June 12, 1923 in Green City, MO; the son of John and Nettie Cunningham. He married Frances Lucille Shepler Mardis on June 11, 1960 and she preceded in death on May 2, 1996.
He is survived by a son, Ronald Cunningham (wife, Sharon) of Muscatine, IA; three step children, Lana Mardis Boggs of Kansas City, MO, Joneyce Creason (husband, Lyle) of Blue Springs, MO, and John Edward Mardis of Virginia; three grandchildren; Derek Cunningham of Kirksville, MO, Justin Cunningham of Muscatine, IA, and Brett Cunningham of North Liberty, IA; two step grandchildren, Shauna Creason of Blue Springs, MO and Heather Spencer (husband, Ian McAtee) of Lee’s Summit, MO; eight great grandchildren; and a step great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence Cunningham.
Mr. Cunningham was a well-known and experienced former livestock buyer for Virginia Packing Company and individuals throughout Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri.
