Clarence “Acy” E. Tucker, age 93 of Stockton, IL, passed away at home Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was born July 2, 1923 to the late Asa and Ernestine (Wagner) Tucker.

He was a 1941 graduate of Stockton High School. He married Adele Leahy on October 12, 1943; she died June 20, 1979. On March 29, 1981 he married Carol (McKee) Hill.

Acy had served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII where he was a radio operator on a C47 cargo plane suppling General Patton’s 3rd Army. His plane crash landed while transporting 25 POW’s in France and they all miraculously survived. He hauled milk to Kraft for 47 years as well as to Roelli Cheese Plant in Shullsburg and Warren Cheese.

He worked for Sanderson Oil Co and helped various farmers during the summer. He also worked for the Stockton Township and the Stockton School District doing summer maintenance.

He is survived by his wife Carol Tucker of Stockton; son, Ken (Sally) Tucker of Stockton; daughter, Mary Jane Tucker of Freeport, IL; four grandchildren, Jody Marsh, Jeremy Tucker, Jena Lawson, and David Tucker as well as several great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his step-children, Don (Connie) Hill of Lena, IL; Ricky (Shanna) Hill of Stockton; Dean (Debra) Hill of Lead Mine, WI and their many children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Adele; son, Gerald; four sisters; and two brothers.
