LEWISVILLE- Clara Mae (Voyles) Hedrick passed away on Thursday evening December 31, 2009 at the Henry County Hospital in New Castle, Indiana. Clara Mae was born in Washington County near Organ Springs, Indiana on February 18, 1916, the daughter of Bessie Ellis and Harry M. Voyles of Salem. She graduated in 1934 from Salem High School and in 1937 from Central Normal College in Danville, Indiana with a teaching license in Elementary and Primary Education. She was married in 1940 to Robert Allen Hedrick of Lewisville. Her teaching career spanned 27 ½ years in Indiana elementary classrooms in Martinsburg, Georgetown, Raleigh, Straughn, Mt. Summit, Lewisville and Tri.
