Clara Lou Wheeler, age 80, of Salem, died 10:00 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Essex I of Salem. She was born August 27, 1933 in Salem, Ohio, daughter of the late Arthur L. and Austie V. (Hines) Hanna. Clara Lou worked for many years at the Electric Furnace Company. Her parents and a brother, R. Gene Hanna preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Edward A. Wheeler, whom she married February 5, 1953; two daughters, Lorena (Michael) Dangler of Salem and Loretta (Robert) Baker of Swansboro, NC; a sister, Sandra (Paul) Williamson of Fort Myers, Florida; a brother, Jerry L. (Dory) Hanna of Canfield; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
