Clara Josephine Taylor, 98, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 7, 2022.
She was born in Pulaski, Virginia and had been a lifetime resident of the Akron area. She retired from Barberton Citizens Hospital after 20 years of service as a supervisor. She was a member of the Firestone Park Baptist Church since 1949 where she served as Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher, Deaconess, member of the Choir, B.Y.F., Counselor and Women’s Missionary Society. She also started the First Children’s Worship Hour.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Taylor; 2nd husband, Frank Chaff; and foster daughter, Myrna Drowns. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Rebecca Taylor and John E. and Susan Taylor; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
