Clara E. Vanover, age 95 of Beaverton, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region Medical Center with her family by her side. The daughter of the late George and Maggie (Hughes) Young was born May 7, 1925 in McCreary County, KY. Clara had worked as a sewing machine operator in factories, was a member of the Whitley City Church of God and AARP. Clara was loved by so many and enjoyed getting out and seeing her family and friends. She attended her church faithfully and loved to read her bible and sing old hymns. Her laugh was so contagious and her smile would warm your heart.

Surviving are her daughters, Carla (James) Richard of Beaverton, MI and Beverly (Billy) Johnson of Hartsville, SC; brother Cecil Young of Whitley City, KY; grandchildren, Pearl Moore, Brian Moore, John Hargis II, Melissa Hargis (Peter Stockton), Axia Roberts, and Robert Hargis; and great grandchildren, Mariah Hargis, Shawn Moore, Madison Stockton, Allison Stockton, Johnny Hargis, Jayden Hargis, Jaxson Hargis, Gabriel Hargis, Jayce Hargis, Chaylynn Corder, William Stockton, Jacob Stockton Laczko, Emily Moore, Scarlet Moore, and Aila Roberts.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charlie Young, Raymond Young, George Young, Jr., Bill Young, Samuel Young, Dave Young, Jimmy Young, and Cloyd Young; and sisters, Lona Howard, Nora Wilson, Desda Watters, and Ida Ballou.
