Waterbury – Mrs. Claire Helene (Roy) Begin, age 78, of Waterbury, passed away Saturday April 11, 2015 at Abbott Terrace Health Care Center in Waterbury . She was wife of the late Benoit Joseph Begin. Mrs. Begin was born November 23, 1936 in St. Philemon, Quebec, Canada a daughter of the late Leopold and Claire Ilda (Rouillard) Roy. She formerly worked as a home health aide and was a truly devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active communicant and choir member at the Shrine of St.. Anne in Waterbury and was an accomplished accordian player. Mrs. Begin is survived by three sons: Robert Begin and his wife Frankie of Illinois, Peter Begin and his wife Debi of Terryville, and Francis Begin of Waterbury, a daughter: Mimi Begin of Waterbury, three brothers: Alain Roy of Canada, Laurel Roy of Canada and Gaitan Roy of Canada, two sisters: Doris Roy of Canada and Ghislaine Roy of Canada, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
