Claire “Cookie” (Guertin) Pelletier, 88, passed peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.  Born the eighth of eleven children of Joseph and Clara (Laramie) Guertin on October 18, 1932, in Oxford, MA.  Claire grew up there and graduated from Oxford High School in the Class of 1951.  She met the love of her life, Ronald R. Pelletier, also from Oxford, and was happily married to him for 47 years until his death in 2000.  They lived an exemplary life in Oxford and Sutton, MA, while raising six children.  In her prime, she enjoyed ten-pin bowling in the Rockettes League, square dancing and family cookouts.

     Claire was predeceased by her parents and four brothers:  Edward “Sonny” Guertin of Shrewsbury, MA,  Lawrence “Toots” Guertin of Chula Vista, CA,  George “Buddy” Guertin of Worcester, MA,  and Joseph “Ray” Guertin of St. Pete Beach, FL.

     She leaves her six children:  Debora Laws of Haverhill, MA,  Christine Pimsri and her daughter, Angela, with whom she made her home in Worcester,  Michael Pelletier and his wife, Kim, of Bradford, ME,  Jeanne Hemmingsen and her husband, Harold, of Willington,  James Pelletier and his wife, Rhea, of Watertown, NY,  and John Pelletier and his wife, Jung-He, of Albuquerque, NM;  fourteen grandchildren she dearly loved:  Langdon, Darrell, Nathan, Jared, Jason, Angela, Harold Jr., Shannon, Jacob, Leo, Samantha, Calista, Ronnie, and Abigail;  and many great grandchildren.

     Claire also is survived by six siblings:  Mary “Biddy” Stefanov of Avon, CT,  Clifton “Franny” Guertin of Williamsburg, VA,  Ruth Gibbons of Hudson, NY,  Lorraine Favreault of Worcester, Walter Guertin and his wife, Joanne, of West Brookfield, MA,  and Paul Guertin and his wife, Ginny, of Charlton, MA;  and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
