Claire A. Peplowski, 73
East Nassau – Claire A. Peplowski, 73, of Route 66 East Nassau died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New York City, NY, she was daughter of the late Earl H. Farley and Mary Sorg Farley and wife for 52 years of Edward S. Peplowski. She had resided in New York City for 5 years, was raised in Grafton, resided in Albany for several years and the past 20 years in East Nassau and was a 1953 graduate of Troy High School and also attended Albany Business College and Mildred Elley.
Mrs. Peplowski owned and operated, with her husband, ES Peplowski General Contracting for 35 years, retiring in 1990.
She was a member of several garden clubs in Albany County including Daylily, Hosta, Iris and Rock Gardening and the Berkshire Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, traveling and cooking.
Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Christian Peplowski of Delmar; three grandchildren, Michael, Monica and Sabrina Peplowski; a brother, Earl H. Farley of Ravena; a step brother, Jack Carroll and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Joan Ingenoso.
