Cirino La Marca, 71, a Milford resident for 37 years passed away peacefully on January 26, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Mary Ann and daughters Serafina, (of Coral Springs, Florida) and Teresa of Milford. He gave them a beautiful life.
Charlie was born in Sicily during World War II. He was an army veteran and business owner prior to moving to Bronx, New York in 1966. He retired in 2007 from The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company after 40 years. He was a produce merchandiser with the NY/NJ territory having thousands of people work for him over the years. All of which said he was tough but always fair and most especially liked and respected by everyone. Hardworking, he had a special talent with people and for business. Until moving to Connecticut he managed the band L’era 2000 which formed in August of 1975 and played Madison Square Garden by October! Mild mannered, a planner and sharp in mind and dress, Charlie got things done. He was known for his beautiful gardens and humor. His generosity brought him joy, always giving to all those around him. He loved his home, enjoyed coffee (the right color) with friends and political talk shows. He will be immeasurably missed.
