Cindy Ann Thornton, 55, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

She was born in Salem, Arkansas on March 6, 1963, daughter of Edward L. and Janet M. (Linger) Owens. Cindy spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was united in marriage to Kerry Thornton on July 23, 1994 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Cindy loved working at Another Season and worked there for 17 years. She was a home person and loved helping and giving to others. Cindy enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her loving dog Chico. Every Sunday she could be found having dinner at her mom and dads house with her family.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Kerry Thornton of Salem; sons, Steve Griffin and partner Tiffany of Salem, Jon Thornton and wife Amy of Yakima, Washington and Ben Thornton of Yakima, Washington; parents, Edward and Janet Owens of Salem; five grandchildren, Steve Griffin, Cheyanne Anglin, Brooke Griffin, Riley Thornton and Jackson Thornton; great grandchild, Lorenzo Anglin; sister, Sheila Bales and husband Randall of Salem and brothers, Greg Owens and wife Kim of Yakima, Washington and Daniel Owens and wife Sara of Brooklyn, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her son, Shane Thornton in 2012; maternal grandparents, Bill and Faye Linger; paternal grandparents, C.L. (Spiky) and Ollie Owens and mother and father-in-law, John and Betty Thornton.
