Cindy Ann Allen of West Lafayette, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at IU Health in Lafayette, Indiana.
Cindy was born April 1, 1963, in Rensselaer, Indiana to Rosemary (Berrier) Allen and the late Jack Allen.
Cindy graduated with the class of 1981 from West Central High School. She was formerly employed in customer service with Advanced Auto in Hobart, Indiana where she had worked for fifteen years. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Rensselaer.
Cindy enjoyed bowling and was a former member of the Rensselaer Women’s Bowling League. She was an avid Cub’s fan who enjoyed both playing and watching sports.
Cindy enjoyed playing computer games and she loved to sing. On December 5, 2015, in Medaryville, Indiana Cindy married Claudia Riebesel who survives.
Surviving with her wife Claudia of West Lafayette, Indiana are her two children, Dustin D. Gilbert of Lafayette, Indiana and Benjamin Dean (Erika) Gilbert of Terre Haute, Indiana; a grandson, Kaden Gilbert; her mother Rosemary Allen of Rensselaer, Indiana, one brother Jack Allen Jr., of Rensselaer, Indiana and two sisters, Carrie Allen of Rensselaer, Indiana and Penny (Stanley) Allen-Braden of Burrows, Indiana. Preceding her in death was an infant son, Jerry Dean Gilbert Jr,. her father Jack and one brother, Russell Leonard Allen.
