SALEM, NH – Christos Tsolakos, 83, of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Kalamata, Greece and was the third of eight children of the late Panagiotis and Vasiliki Tsolakos. He was raised in Greece and served as a police officer in Athens and Sparta. Hoping to help his family in Greece and to create a better life for himself, he immigrated to Montreal, Canada. He became a Canadian citizen, worked several professions, and graduated with honors from an apprenticeship for cosmetology in 1963. From there, he went on to open his own barber shop, “Christo’s.” He met the love of his life, Chrisoula and together came to America in 1970.
