Christopher Wayne Schutz (Schutzy)

On Wednesday, March 23, 2016, our beloved son, father, brother and uncle passed away surrounded by family and friends from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning. On November 6, 1984, “Schutzy”, Christopher Wayne Schutz, was born the 2nd son of Timothy Allen Schutz and Donna K. (McCully) Burke.

From an early age, Chris was in love with motorcycles, playing pool, snakes, fishing, camping, and anything that had to do with the great outdoors. He started telling jokes at an early age. He could remember every joke someone told him. He was always trying make you laugh or put a smile on your face, like the one he wore. He had a remarkable way to make you feel loved, as if he had known you his entire life. He was truly a friend to all!

Chris loved a great game of pool. While playing, he met the great love in his life, Mia. From this union, he gained 2 daughters and 1 son.

Chris is survived by his father, Timothy A. Schutz, mother and stepfather, Donna and Myland Burke; 3 brothers; Corey (Freebird) Schutz, Kyle (Katreena) Burke, and Myles (Andrea) Burke; 3 children, Antoinette (14), Alena (9), and Xander (5); the mother of his children, Maria (Mia) Antoinette Sandoval, his fishing buddy, Eddy Fernando Sandoval, 1 uncle, 2 aunts, and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John (Betty) Schutz, 1 niece, Mya Ann Burke, and Baby, his pet snake of 13 years (red tail boa).

A special thanks to Gardner Engineering for allowing Chris to do what he loved best, exploring the mountains as a land surveyor (crew chief), Jamie (Shannon) Frickel, his work partner and friend, and Ryan (Tammy) Marturello, having been there since kindergarten. The staff and doctors at McKay Dee ICU took wonderful care of Chris during his last days there. Thanks to his biker family for all your love and support.
