Christopher Steven Martinez was born May 28, 1967 in Brighton, CO to Fidel and Theresa Martinez. He died on April 25, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
Chris lived in Brighton all his life and attended school in Brighton. He was a wrestler and loved to compete in wrestling and as an adult he started training and coaching other boys. His three sons were also wrestlers and live their father, these boys all turned out to be pretty good wrestlers. Chris was always with his boys at their wrestling matches, coaching and training them.
Chris is survived by his five children, Elaine (Danny) Foster, Christopher Jr. (Taylor) Martinez, Christina (Jimmy) Martinez, Jeramie Martinez and Steven (Victoria) Martinez, all of Brighton; two brothers, Andy Martinez of Hollywood, CA and Jimmy (Leona) Martinez of Brighton; two sisters, Stella Martinez of Brighton and Delia (LeRoy) Garcia of Brighton; Godmother, Mary Lucero; 10 grandchildren, whom he loved very much. They were his world. Other survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Theresa Martinez and two brothers, Frank and Joe Martinez.
