F. Christopher Rance-Acton, 39, formerly of Logansport, passed away on March 27th. 2008 in his Deltona, Florida, home.

Born July 5th, 1968 in Beaufort, SC, he was the son of Jean Adams Logan and Terry D. Rance.

Chris was a 1986 graduate of Logansport High School and joined the US Navy upon graduation. He served aboard the nuclear submarine USS James Madison until he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 1987. Chris remained in the Navy until he was honorably discharged in 1994.

Although he endured 20 years of medical ailments due to his lymphoma, Chris avidly enjoyed traveling, antiquing, working on his computer, old black and white movies, and collecting Rosalind Russell memorabilia.

Chris is survived by his mother and step-father, Ronald and Jean Logan of Delphi; his father, Terry D. Rance of Logansport; his sister, Jennifer Chell of Deltona, FL; and his beloved dog, Maggie.

Chris was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Herbert Rance and his maternal grandparents, Frederick and Freida Adams.
