Christopher Robert Mettler of Fruitland, Idaho took his final trip on January 22, 2017. A proud and accomplished dairyman, Chris grew up on his family’s dairy farm in Ridgefield, WA. He started his family and dairy operation in La Center, WA before venturing to New Plymouth, ID to expand his farm. Chris was a competitive dairyman who enjoyed other hobbies including flying Cessna’s and riding his beloved Harley motorcycle in the mountains of Switzerland and through the western US. He spent his retirement traveling and making memories with family and friends around the world. Chris is survived by his two children, daughter Michele Boyd (Mettler) and husband Jason Boyd and their 2 children, of Bozeman, MT and son, Eric Mettler and wife Lareasa and their 3 children, of Bend, OR. Chris is preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Mettler of Vancouver, WA.
