Christopher J. Tighe, 50, of South Jacksonville, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 3, 1960, in Jacksonville, the son of Vernon and Ladean Sargent Tighe, and they survive in Jacksonville. He is also survived by two brothers, Ed Tighe of New York, NY and Dan (Judy) Tighe of Jacksonville; four nieces and nephews, Savanna Tighe of Jacksonville, and Erin, Nolan and Davis Tighe, also of Jacksonville; and his great-niece, Camryn Chumley of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Timothy, Jay, and Michael in infancy.
Mr. Tighe was a 1978 graduate of Routt High School. He lived and worked in Jacksonville all of his life. He was a member of Church of Our Saviour and the Knights of Columbus. Chris was an amateur boxer in his younger years. He enjoyed all sports, especially football, and had attended many Super Bowls. He cherished and loved to cook for his family and friends, and especially loved his nieces and nephews.
