Christopher Joseph Hansell, beloved son of Stanley and Marguerite Hansell passed away on January 23, 2012 at Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Center after a courageous battle with cancer with his family at his bedside. He was 53 years old. Chris was born at Lower Bucks County Hospital, Bristol, PA on June 14, 1958. He was a lifelong resident of Burlington City and a 1976 graduate of Burlington County Vo-Tech High School.
He successfully started his own towing business “HANSELL AND SON TOWING” servicing Burlington City, Burlington Twp. and Florence. Chris was an avid collector of classic and antique cars. His red 1930 Ford bakers truck with the “Hansell and Son” logo was a favorite in many parades in Burlington City and won several trophies. He also enjoyed scuba diving and with his brothers and sister traveled the globe every year to find the best dive sites.
Three years ago he visited the Great Barrier Reef. He is survived by his son Joseph Hansell. He is also survived by his brothers Michael (Mary), Steve (Lori), sister Andrea Herbert (John) and longtime companion Tina Nuse as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
