Christopher Charles Johnson, 57, a resident of Tallahassee, peacefully passed away surrounded by friends and family on April 29, 2015. Chris was the son of Charles Denmark Johnson and Mary Mims Johnson. He was born June 7, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was active in the Boy Scouts in Annandale, Virginia, where he also served as a scout master.
He spent the majority of his schooling in Annandale, Virginia, and attended Old Dominion University and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He worked as a Counselor with the State of Florida, but his true passion was home repair. He also enjoyed the challenge of repairing automobiles. Chris always loved to help others, and it showed in his outgoing personality.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Christopher (Marianne) Gainey; grandchildren, Andrew and Tyrian; brothers, Curtis and Kent (Deana); sisters, Mary Kathleen, Dunn and Karen Esbensen (Eric); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and aunts.
