Christine Therese Visser passed away at her sister’s home in Layton on March 28, 2016. She was born August 28, 1948 in Pankalpinang, Dutch East Indies, Indonesia to Adriaan Visser and Joan Brown. She lived in Indonesia, Holland, Nigeria and Argentina through most of her childhood and finished her teenage years in Swansea, Wales. After immigrating to Utah in 1968, she graduated with a teaching degree from BYU and Weber State. She taught first and second grade in Weber County School District for fifteen years. Christine also taught in Primary, Young Women and Relief Society in various LDS wards.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Fred) Marcks; grandson, Tate; granddaughters, Brinlee, Jenna and Callen; her sister, Eve (Ken) Winkfield and family; brother, Nicolaas Visser; and sister, Mariette Visser; both of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
