WINSTED – Christine Smedick, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 20, 2022 at her home. Born April 26, 1951 in Torrington; the daughter of the late Haworth and Florence (Wadhams) Barker. To know Christine (Chris, mom, ma, gramma, gram, grannypants or the random name the lady next door calls her that our mom was too nice to correct even after 16 years) was to love her. Seriously. Every person we have met that had the honor of meeting our mother always said “I love your mom”. Our mom had a few lifelong dear friends, Dot, Irene and Debbie. She treasured each of those amazing women.
