Mary Christine Green Payne, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 12, 2018, at MorningStar Senior Living Center surrounded by her family. She was under the care of Encompass Hospice.
Christine was born July 17, 1944, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Terrell Dennis Green and Bertha Jeanne Rowe Green. She attended Marsh Valley High School and graduated from cosmetology school in Pocatello.
On March 7, 1964, she married Ross Payne in Paris, Idaho. To this union were born three sons, Mark, Paul, and Reed. Christine and Ross made their home in Idaho Falls where they established two businesses, Ross’ Hair Fashions (which was sold in 1979) and Ross Coin & Gun. After Ross passed away, she took a male dominated industry business and developed it into the legacy it is today.
