Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother went home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2011 at the age of 80 years, 3 months, and 5 days, surrounded by her loving family.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Elvira and Alexander Kearns, step-father, Joseph Summers, loving sisters, Marzella K. Brannon, Julianne Kearns, and brother, Buddy Kearns.
She leaves to cherish loving and everlasting memories her devoted husband, Oscar William “Billy” Alford; faithful children, Priscilla Diane (Stanley) Turner, Beverly Elaine Lucas, Oscar Dwayne (Rhonda) Alford, and Roderick Alexander Alford; four beautiful grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Candace Victoria Lucas, Jessica Shardae Alford, Perry Jamal Lucas, and Roderick Alexander Alford II; sisters-in-law, Sadie A. Bennett, Georgia Alford, and Evelyn J. Alford; special sister, Barbara McKeithen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
