Christine E.(Dahmer) Acampora , 91, of Toms River, NJ died on Wednesday May 29, 2013. She was born in Canada and became a citizen of USA in 1953. She worked her entire career as a couturier buyer at L.L. Bergers, a ladies specialty store in Buffalo, NY. As part of her job she traveled to England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain on buying trips. She retired in 1984 and moved to Toms River with her husband Janus Acampora.
Christine worked with her beloved husband, Janus for 22 years helping to book professional shows and chairing dances for the residents of Holiday City West. Janus was known as “Mr. Fun Sunday.” Christine and Janus were a wonderful couple who loved every minute of their involvement in the community. Christine is predeceased by her husband Janus, her parents, two brothers and a sister.
She is survived by a daughter, Lynda Baldwin and her husband John; grandsons Christopher Baldwin, Kevin Baldwin and his wife Lauren, and a great grandchildren Christopher Thomas and Nicholas Matthew Baldwin. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Marie Tizio and her husband Bart; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Canada.
