Christine R. Dickson, 88, departed with flights of angels playing their accordions on November 27, 2014.
Born in Jacksonville, Florida on May 15, 1926 to the late Alonzo & Lillian Rollinson, Chris had been an area resident for over 60 years. She was a faithful member of the Firestone Park United Methodist Church where she participated in various committees and activities. Chris was a steadfast volunteer for the American Red Cross, where she taught water safety, swimming, and CPR. She was an accomplished accordion player who enjoyed playing for others, especially with her band, ‘It’s Later than you Think’. Chris was an avid bicyclist with her husband Robert.
In addition to her parents, Chris was preceded in death by her brother Samuel. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert; sons Daniel K. (Laura) of Akron, Duane L. (Ginni) of Cleveland Heights, & David C. (Mary) of Missoula, Montana; grandchildren Caroline (Don, Jr.) Davis, Erin (Craig) Larkins, Rose Dickson, & Rachel Dickson; great-grandchildren Alicia Austin, Sophia, Will, Maria, Amilia, & Anthony.
