Christine Collison, 75 years of age, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic.
Christine was born March 12, 1946 in Hamtramck, Michigan to the late Mary June and Walter Earl Gaffke. She was the oldest of 3 children; one brother, Larry Gaffke, preceded her in death. Christine graduated from Port Hope High School and then went on to Beauty School where she received her Cosmetology license. Christine later went on to work for Dow Corning, retiring in 2000. Christine’s passion in life, other than her family, was cooking and helping others whenever in need. She enjoyed spending time with close friends, who will miss her terribly, and traveling. Christine similarly enjoyed scheduling and organizing several casino bus trips yearly. Christine was also a member of the Sanford American Legion Post 443.
Christine married the late Donald Ervin Collison on September 4, 1965 and had two children. She leaves behind her daughter, Andrea (Gary) David of Sanford, Michigan; son, William (Jennifer) Collison of Normal, Illinois; 4 grandchildren; Jordyn David, Ryleigh (Cory) Peitsch, Logan, and Cierra Collison; 1 great-granddaughter, Isla Peitsch; 1 brother, Steven (Dawn) Gaffke.
