Betty Landrove, age 77, of New Smyrna Beach, died Thursday, January 8, at home.
Born in Marietta, Georgia, Betty came to this area in 1962 from Miami. She retired after working more than 30 years for the switchboard and admissions department at Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach. Betty loved to play bingo and slot machines, collect Barbie dolls, beanie babies, and Elvis Presley and Gone with the Wind plates.
Betty is survived by her husband of 56 years, Frank; 2 sons, John Clifford Landrove and his wife Wanda, Frank L. Landrove III and his wife Phyllis, all of New Smyrna Beach; 2 daughters, Theresa Marie Wells and her husband John of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Anna Louise Peatross of New Smyrna Beach; 1 sister, Nellie Raffield of Palm Bay; 3 brothers, Clifford O’Shields, Jr. of South Miami, Edward O’Shields and his wife Diane of North Dade, Raymond O’Shields of Orlando; 5 grandchildren, Lisa Wells and her husband Jeremy Holloway and Nathan Wells and his wife Jennifer, all of Tennessee, Frank Landrove, Andrew and Daniel Peatross, all of New Smyrna Beach; 3 great-grandchildren, Natalie and Lanie Wells and Jonathan Holloway. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene O’Shields.
