Christina Rossetti Kapalas McCarroll, 88, Chesterfield, died May 18, 2012 at her home.
She was born August 9, 1923 in Hoxie, Arkansas, and had lived in this area since 1941. Christina retired in 1985 from Delco Remy, Division of General Motors, after 20 years of service. She was a member of U.A.W. Local #662, Home Demonstrators, and the Red Bud Quilt Guild. Survivors include her sons, Jay Randle McCarroll, Jr. Carol Ann of Chesterfield & Dwain Gerald McCarroll Cindi of Middleton; daughter, Karen Sue Martin of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Jay Randle McCarroll III Kelly Loretta of Mesa, AZ, Marla Cauliene McCarroll of Mesa, AZ, Monte Wade McCarroll Amy Marie of McCordsville, Amie Carol Puente of Pendleton, Thad McCarroll of Indianapolis, Brade companion, Rhonda McCarroll of Pendleton, Kacy McCarroll of Texas & Christina McCarroll of Indianapolis; great grandchildren, Jessica Loretta McCarroll of Mesa, AZ, Connor Lee Barton serving with the Marines in FL, Brandelyn Nichole McCarroll, Colin Wade McCarroll of McCordsville, Quenton Steven Puente of Muncie, Shelby Autumn Puenta of Pendleton, Cash McCarroll & Jordan Dean of Pendleton; brother-in-law, Henry Buster McCarroll of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married, April 19, 1941, in Pocahontas, AK, Jay Randle McCarroll; parents, James & Bertha Mae Kapalas; sisters, Evelyn Thaw, Ina Mae Parker & Margaret Miller; brothers, Leo Kapalas, James Kapalas & Ervin Kapalas; and son-in-law, Larry Kent Martin.
