HAVERHILL – Christina (Menounos) Fikis, in the dawning hours of Orthodox Holy Saturday, April 30, our beloved mother was taken into the kingdom of heaven to be with our Lord.
Christina Fikis was born on August 6, 1927 in the village of Leondarion Arkadia, Greece. She was the daughter of the late Nikitas and Penelope (Karallas) Menounos.
She immigrated to Haverhill in 1955 and resided with her Aunt Helen and Uncle Charles Doucacaros, working at Elpis Bakery. She also worked at local shoe factories, Samuel Roberts, and Lucent Technologies from which she retired. She was the wife of the late George Fikis, with whom she raised five children.
