Christie Marie Tracey, 31, of Rocky Hill, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015. Born in Hartford, daughter of Susan Tracey and her fiancé Harold Sawyer of York, PA and Raymond Dugan of New Britain, she graduated from Newington High School in 2003 and was a Rocky Hill resident for the past nine years. She graduated from Porter and Chester Institute with her certificate in Phlebotomy. While she was growing up, Christie enjoyed going camping every summer, especially going to Camp Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Fairlee, VT where she made lifelong friendships. She was a member of P.R.I.D.E. at Central CT State University and was very proud of her involvement in the group. She had a strong love for animals and dreamed all her life of becoming a veterinarian. Her family will especially miss her infectious laugh that she shared so often. Along with her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandparents, Karen Tracey, with whom she made her home in Rocky Hill, and Peter Tracey and Gracemary Comstock of Bristol, her sister Michelle Dugan of New Britain, and her two brothers, Michael Dugan of New Britain and Kevin Dugan of Newington. She also leaves her aunts and uncles, Kelly Gagnon and her husband Michael of Newington and Mark Tracey and his wife Lisa of Wethersfield and many cousins.
