Christian Michael Hiar, 15, loving son of Edward C. Hiar and Erna E. Naert, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at his home. Christian was born on December 24, 2002 in Sumner, Washington.

He was a sophomore student at Concord High School, where he was training for the track team. Christian won an academic letter for his grades, was active in Boy Scouts and was a world champion in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu winning both gold and silver at tournaments at the International level. He loved playing and helping his dad play video games and cooking. He was known for his chili. He was a Seattle Seahawk’s and Mariner’s fan and had a soft spot for animals and enjoyed dog sitting. Above all, Christian had a kind and sensitive heart.

Christian is survived by his parents, a sister Kai Hiar of Sandy, Utah; grandparents, Chuck and Ruth Hiar of Elkhart, Mia Naert of Lynnwood, Wash.; also several loving aunts and uncles, including,  Andrea Naert-Scott Hill of Seattle, Andy (Jennifer) Hiar of Lisle, ILL, Michelle (Jered) Prough of Goshen, Ind. and Grant (Marcia) Manhart of Aberdeen, S.D. Christian was preceded in death by his grandfather Albert P. Naert and aunt Nicole Manhart.
