Christian Amadeus Taylor, March 19, 1994 – October 17, 2014.

Christian Amadeus Taylor, 20, of Bell County. Mr. Taylor died Friday, October 17, 2014 in a Bryan hospital. Mr. Taylor was born March 19, 1994 at Fort Hood, the son of Kevin and Michelle (Kohrs) Taylor. He was a 2012 graduate of Belton High School where he was active in theater. He was a senior at Texas A&M University majoring in Bio Chemistry and Genetics. He was a member of the Aggie Bon Fire, Mic Check Poetry, and the Eckleburg Project. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Temple.

Survivors include his parents, Kevin and Michelle Taylor of Bell County, two brothers, Evan and Ethan Taylor of Bell County and two sisters, Samantha Taylor of Bell County and Alexandra Edwards of Temple; and grandparents Robert Taylor and Shirley Taylor both of Newfane, New York. A lengthy, scientific answer to a commonplace question. A slightly inappropriate joke to invoke a flurry of laughter. A passionate and political poem aside an obscure interpretation of a sketch. A bow tie and suspenders. These are the images that his friends and family will always catalogue as distinctly Christian.

A senior biochemistry major, research assistant, poetry editor, and slam poet, Christian Taylor met the world with a mix of curiosity and measured spontaneity. He was creative, intelligent, hilarious, thoughtful and loved – I mean loved – by many. He was our son, our brother, our friend, and our role model. Christian, we are less without you and we’ve missed you since the moment you were gone.
