Christian A. Beck , 80 passed into eternity at his residence on October 4, 2018. He was born on August 1, 1938 to parents Martin and Ida Beck from Greenport, Long Island. He is predeceased by the love of his life Hannah R. Beck.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Schiffman of Duluth, Georgia, Melinda Smith of Glastonbury, CT, Nicole Pearlstein of W. Newton, Mass and Tara McLaughlin of Brownville, Maine. He also has eight grandchildren: Casey, Megan, Noah, Gianni, Luca, Emma, Michela, and Grace. He is also survived by his niece Judith Fischer of Maine.
He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean war. He was a member of his local chapter of the American Legion. Christian was also an accomplished patent engineer for Pitney Bowes until his retirement. He was gifted in many areas of his life, which included fine furniture making, gardening, art and writing. He fondly remembered his time at sea while growing up as a young man on Long Island.
