Christa E. (Strauss) Person, 77, of Upton, died early Sunday, April 16, 2017 at home after a long illness. She was the wife of Donald V. Person.
Mrs. Person was born in Ansbach, Germany, a daughter of the late Karl and Marie (Zippold) Strauss. She came to the U. S. in 1966 and had lived in Upton since then. She was a cashier at Target in Milford for 12 years, retiring in 2015 due to illness. She had previously worked in the cafeteria at Blackstone Valley Tech High School and at Bay State Abrasives in Westboro.
In addition to her husband of 51 years; she leaves two daughters, Stefanie Richard of Woonsocket, RI and Patricia Person of Upton; a grandson, Gary Richard, Jr. of Woonsocket; and several brothers and sisters in Germany and OK. Another daughter, Eva Dillon, died in 2009.
