The love of my life, my soulmate and a great man, husband and father, loyal brother and uncle, cousin and a friend to a vast number of people. He will surely by missed. Chrisley Q. Ballard was born on July 18, 1943 in Denver, Colorado and left us on May 4, 2015 at his home in Taft, California. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Quint, mother, Joyce and brother, Greg Ballard. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon (Plunkett) Ballard; children and spouses, Matthew and Kambria Ballard, Mark Ballard, Robbie and Kristen Collins, Doyle Angeles and Melissa Ballard-Graben; brother, Brian Ballard; 11 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law; cousins and other extended family and friends. Chris had lived in Taft for 53 years and had been employed by Sun Oil, Standard Oil and Exxon Mobil Oil companies. He retired nine years ago. Chris was always interested in learning new things and sharing his knowledge with others. He was an adventurer and had fun with such hobbies as gardening, raising birds, collecting music and traveling. Chris leaves a legacy of helping us all: he shaped and formed our lives and he will never be forgotten. Chris is with his Lord now. May God bless and comfort us and give us peace as we all join together to grieve our loss, comfort and love one another and celebrate Chris’ life.
