Chrisann (Chris) Claire Winiecki, 68, of Lakewood, Colorado peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
Chris was born in Arlington, Virginia to Charles W. and Evelyn M. (Morsehead) Delanoy. Her father was an Air Force colonel and she attended various schools nationally and internationally. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of South Florida. She had a lifetime of careers in many fields including movie theater management, development of theater promotional and marketing activities, retail management, and was founder/partner of a medical personnel placement company. In addition, she was self-employed as a vintage costume and fine jewelry consultant and seller.
Chris’ passions were writing, painting and art pouring, ancestry research, fashion and design, and collecting vintage movie and theater histories. She was a member of and won awards from Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers. She also enjoyed card games and an occasional slot machine.
Chris married David Winiecki in 1994 in a small ceremony at the Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado.
Chris is survived by her husband (David Winiecki), her sister (Patricia Byron), spouse (Marion Delanoy) of her late brother (Rich Delanoy), her sister-in-law and husband (Kathy and Tom Kautz), and nephews and nieces.
She heroically battled Lupus for nearly 40 years and touched many lives.
David Winiecki and the rest of Chris’ family extend sincere thanks to all the medical professionals who cared for Chris over many years, her two closest friends, Charles Cox and Tim Tafoya, the many others who continue to offer support, and the Horan & McConaty staff.
