Muncie – Chris “Cricket” Beasley, 77, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013, at Willow Crossing in Columbus following an extended illness.
Chris was born in Byrdstown, Tennessee on July 29, 1936, the daughter of Carson E. and Mary E. (Craig) Garrett, and attended Blaine High School in Muncie.
Mrs. Beasley worked for many years as an inspector with Owens-Illinois.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Holloway, (husband-Mark), Fruitland, Florida, and Mary Ann Beasley, Hope; two sons, Rockie Beasley, (wife-Cristina), Chesapeake, Virginia and Gaskill Beasley, Dallas, Texas; four brothers, Charles Ralph Garrett, Scottsville, Kentucky, Glen Garett, (wife-Pat), Scottsville, Kentucky, Larry Garrett, (wife-Linda), Muncie, and Ricky K. Garrett, (wife-Carolyn), Muncie; a sister, Rozell Lephart, (husband-David), Muncie; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 29 years Gaskill M. “Hack” Beasley; a sister, Lois (Collins) Jones; two brothers Robert and Harold Garrett; and a great grandson, Braden Elijah Holloway.
