“Chod” Charles Andrew Muterspaugh, 82, of Markleville, passed away November 6, 2020, at St. Vincent Anderson Regional in Anderson, IN. He was born April 13, 1938, in Mechanicsburg, Indiana. He worked at Elston Richards Warehouse for 17 years before becoming a custodian for Pendleton Heights High School for 21 years.
He was a Volunteer Fireman with Adams Markleville Fire Department for 54 years. Chod is survived by his loving spouse of 61 years, Betty (Wyatt) Muterspaugh; daughters, Sheryl (Brian Burmeister) Stanley, Kathy (Eric Snyder) Fish, and Cindy (Steve) Ridener; grandsons, Chad (Sarah) Stanley, Danny (Fiance, Brittany) Stanley, Todd Lewis, Joshua Ridener, and Rodger (Kimberly) Ridener; great-grandchildren, Andrew Stanley, Addison Stanley, Jameson Stanley, Colton Williams, Tylee Ellingwood, Jaylen Leonard, Hayle Ridener, Carter Ridener, Dylan Ridener, and Payton Ridener; brothers, Curt Alspaugh, Tom (Peggy) Muterspaugh, and Bob Muterspaugh; several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Jim Chaplin, Linda Gustin and Adams Markleville Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Basil and Nora Muterspaugh; and sisters-in-law, Mildy Alspaugh and Sharon Muterspaugh.
