Chin Angelica Venegas
Chin Angelica Venegas walked through the gates of heaven on July 13, 2008, following a lifelong illness. Angelica’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her final days were spent surrounded by family members and friends.
Although Angelica’s illness made her appear frail, she possessed an incredible strength, perseverance, and ability to overcome incredible odds. With her courage she led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. She loved to laugh, color, dray, play dough, watching movies, and the color yellow. She also enjoyed teaching her cousins how to play a variety of computer games. At night, she would bargain with her father regarding the number of minutes he would carry her on his shoulder, always asking for five minutes. With Angelica’s passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her everyday, she will forever remain in our hearts.
Angelica leaves behind many wonderful caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced her quality of life.
Angelica is survived by her parents, Eduardo and Ruby Venegas-Vegafria, and her sister Andrea Venegas, and her large extended family in Florida, California, Arizona, and the Philippines.
