Chester Lee “Sonny” Davis, 68, went to be with our Lord and savior on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio. He was born December 3, 1943 in Clarksburg, the son of the Late Arnett R and Anna L Davis. Sonny was an outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed riding his side by side and four wheeler. He retired from Laurita’s Laurel Aggregates of Morgantown, WV; Baldwin Mining in Gilmer County; King Knob Coal Company in Harrison County. He was always there to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. Sonny is survived by his wife of 48 years, Beverley May Ramsey Davis and daughter Tyra Ann and husband Michael Cleavenger; sisters and brothers, Carol Ann Chisler and husband John of Blacksville, WV; Arnett Wells Davis and wife Kathy of Philippi; Lennis Rochester Davis and wife Madonna of Belington; Donna Lou Thomas and husband Dave of Lumberport; Diana Kay Mullins and husband Gene of Philippi; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Lena Rebecca Davis. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, beloved dogs, Sam and Sadie.
