Brunswick – Chester J. Kordana passed peacefully into eternal life on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the age of 86, with his family by his side. 

Born in Adams, MA. on April 3, 1932, he was the son of Anna Operowski and Walter Kordana and was predeceased by his siblings John, Theresa and James, as well as, several nieces and nephews. Chet was the loving husband of Linda Kordana for 53 years and  father of Paul Kordana (Cathy), Sandy Hyatt (Kerry), Mary D’Amico (Nino), Sheila Kordana (Luanne), Carrie Green (Mark), Lynda “Missy” Kordana and Susan Ingram (Darrin). He had 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Chet was proud to have served as an alter boy at St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church in Adams, MA. He moved to Troy, at a young age. Chet was a Proud Navy Veteran who served in the Korean War from 1950 – 1954, and was very honored to have served his Country. 

After the war, he became an electrician by trade, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. He was a 50 year member of the IBEW Local Union No. 236. He supported both the Wounded Warriors Project and Veterans of Foreign Wars. 

Chet was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who always put family first in his life. He was a diehard Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, he never missed a game. He also loved going to the Siena Basketball games and out to lunch with his brother-in-laws Ed and Jackie.
