Chester E. McNelly, 89, widower of Louise (Belanger) McNelly, of Bristol passed away on Wednesday June 23, 2010 at Ingraham Manor.
Chester was born on September 10, 1920 in Waterville, Maine a son of the late Leon and Iva (Treworgy) McNelly.
Mr. McNelly moved to Bristol in 1957 and retired in 1983 from Pratt and Whitney after working there for 32 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Marlene LeBlanc of New Britain; his four grandchildren, James and Jason Ogonowski of Bristol, Joseph LeBlanc of Bristol and Darcy McNelly of Bristol; his brothers, Frank McNelly of Wichita, Kansas and Leon McNelly, Jr. of Wethersfield; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Leon McNelly and his daughter Sharon Ogonowski; and his brother, Albert McNelly
