Chester Alan Paxson, age 71, of Salem, died at 4:45 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. He was born July 13, 1947 in Salem, a son of the late Homer O. and Alice (Falk) Paxson.
Chester had owned and operated the Paxson Village Service in Columbiana for 30 years. He was a 1965 graduate of Salem High School and a member of the Salem VFW Post #892. Chester served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Leetonia Eagles.
His sister, Katherine A Paxson of Leetonia and a nephew, Vernon F. Pfiller survive him.
A brother, Homer C. Paxson also preceded him in death.
