Cheryl Serck, age 60, of Spirit Lake, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2009, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was born on October 9, 1948, in Jackson, Minnesota, to Clarence and Irene (Mier) Thiesen.Cheryl graduated from Sioux Valley High School. She was a past member and leader of 4-H and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Cheryl enjoyed spending her spare time reading, traveling, shopping and helping with the Okoboji Summer Theater. Her true passion in life was the time she would spend with her family and her grandchildren.Cheryl is survived by her two daughters, Sheila Pirela, and her husband, Jesus, of Houston, Texas, and Amy Serck of Houston, Texas.
