Cheryl Rose (McBride) Gilbert, age 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 9, 2023 with her loving granddaughter by her side. She was born on January 18, 1950 in Bryan, Ohio, to her parents, Edward McBride & Deloris (Harmon) McBride.
Cheryl graduated from Lewis Cass High School in the Class of 1968. She retired from Delco Electronics in Kokomo, Indiana after many years of employment. In Cheryl’s younger years she enjoyed riding motorcycles and training horses.
Those left to carry on Cheryl’s legacy of love are her children, Brian (Maria) Cripe, Hickory Gilbert; grandchildren, Kiera Gremelspacher, Kylie Hayden, Quinn Cole, Shealyn Horn, Aedan Cripe, Caleb Cripe; great grandchildren, Marston Toman, Jaxxin Hayden, Cillian Horn, Serenity Toman (to arrive in March 2023); and sister, Marlene (Mike) Mahaffie.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Deloris McBride; and brother, Kenneth McBride.
